Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification & Experience:
Passed HSLC or equivalent qualification from recognized Board/Institution.
Passed National Apprenticeship Certificate or National Trade Certificate in the appropriate trade.
1 year of Industrial/ Teaching Experience is desirable.
Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025):
The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01.01.2025. Age limit for the posts is 18-40 years, i.e. candidates born not on or before 31.12.1984 and not later than 01.01.2007 are eligible to apply.

Candidates are not required to pay any application fee for submission of their online applications.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
There shall be two phases in the selection process:
Phase- I: The Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type written test to be held in Guwahati on a date to be notified later on. The duration of the written test will be 2 Hours. The test will be of 100 marks with 100 MCQs. Each question will carry 1 (one) mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The Multiple Choice Question will be comprised of the following sections-

Phase – II: Against each vacancy, 1:4 candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the written test category-wise. After the written test, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a Skill Test in their concerned trade/subject to be held in Guwahati. Total marks for the Skill Test will be 50.
Final Selection:
The final merit list will be prepared post-wise and category-wise on the basis of the total marks scored in the Written Test and Skill Test. The selection list shall remain valid for a period of 12 months from the date of its publication for appointment.

Register Online:
Click the “Apply Online” link under the Junior Instructor recruitment section on www.dect.assam.gov.in or the specified portal.
Select “New Registration” and enter your name, email ID, mobile number, Aadhaar number (optional), and other details to generate a Registration ID and password.
Note down the Registration ID and password for future logins.
Fill the Application Form:
Log in using your Registration ID and password.
Select the Junior Instructor post and specific trade (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical).
Enter personal details (e.g., name, date of birth, address), educational qualifications (e.g., 10th marks, ITI/NAC/NTC details), experience (if any), and category (UR/SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/EWS).
Provide PRC or Employment Exchange Registration details, if required.
Choose the exam center (e.g., Guwahati, Jorhat) for the written test.
Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies in the specified format (based on):
Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/EWS, if applicable)
PwD certificate (if applicable)
Valid photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID)
