Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Matriculation from a recognised Board
  • Sports Qualifications: Players who have participated in any International Competition/ National Competitions/ Inter-University Tournaments/ National Sports/ Games for Schools/ Khelo India University Games/ Khelo India Youth Games/ Khelo India Winter Games
  • Age as per Certificate: Only the Matriculation certificate or the Higher Secondary School certificate will be accepted as proof for establishing the age of the candidates
  • Certificate Requirements: All educational certificates other than Central Board/State Boards should be accompanied by Government notifications declaring the equivalence of such qualification for service under the Central Government
  • Sports Certificate: Candidates must possess valid sports certificates from competent authorities as specified in the notification
  • Caste Certificate: Candidates seeking relaxation under the SC/ST/OBC category should submit the certificate as per the prescribed format
  • Document Possession: The candidates must fulfil all eligibility conditions and should own all sports and education certificates at the time of joining

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026):

  • For General & OBC Candidates: 18 to 28 years as on 01 Jan 2026. Candidates should have been born earlier than 01 Jan 1998 and later than 01 Jan 2008
  • For SC/ST Candidates: 18 to 33 years as on 01 Jan 2026. Candidates should have been born earlier than 01 Jan 1993 and later than 01 Jan 2008
  • Upper Age Relaxation: For Gen/OBC is Five years, and SC/ST is Ten years respectively,y for players who have participated in specified competitions

Selection Process:

  • Candidate Verification: Candidates in possession of valid call letters and photo ID proof, like Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, will only be permitted to enter the recruitment rally site
  • Initial Documentation: All candidates will have to undergo documentation, in which candidates will have to produce all original documents/certificates about age, education, caste, sports and domicile/Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
  • RFID-Based Physical Standard Test (PST): PST of candidates will be carried out by using Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID) with specific height, chest and weight standards
  • Motor Ability Test (MAT): MAT in all sports disciplines will be conducted by a Board of Officers at the rally site as per the norms of the Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE) manual of the Sports Authority of India (SAI)
  • Field Trial: Field trials in all disciplines will be conducted by a Board of Officers at the Rally site. Marks will be awarded to candidates as per their performance in the Field Trial
  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates who qualify in the Field Trial in the respective sports discipline will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination with specific visual acuity and medical standards
  • Review Medical Examination (RME): If a candidate is declared UNFIT in DME, they will be allowed to undergo RME, provided they give written consent
  • Merit List: Candidates who qualify in all respects will be placed in the Merit List. Final selection will be done based on achievements and performance in Field Trials, and level of participation
  • Pregnancy Disqualification: Pregnancy at the time of PST, MAT/Field Trial & DME will be considered a disqualification
