Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification & Experience:
Candidates must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities or Institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; OR possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering are NOT eligible to apply.

Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967, is required.
Language Knowledge: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, or both is required.
Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per the provisions of Rule-7 of Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Selection will be based on a one-stage competitive examination through MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type Computer-Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR method.
The examination will be conducted in two parts: Part-A and Part-B.
Part-A (90 Marks): Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (30 marks), Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension (30 marks).
Part B (120 Marks): Questions related to technical qualification and its applications.
A total of 210 questions will be asked for 210 marks.
Total time allotted: 3 hours (180 minutes) for both parts combined.
Negative Marking: 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum Qualifying Standard: 40% for both Part-A and Part-B separately.
The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the competitive examination.
Candidates equal to approximately two times the number of vacancies will be called for certificate verification based on the provisional merit list.
Final selection will be made based on merit and category-wise vacancies.
