Nationality:

Candidates must be a Citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee (settled before 1 Jan 1962), or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with an eligibility certificate from the Government of India.

For Law Officer & Rajbhasha Adhikari: English Language, Reasoning, General Awareness (Banking Industry), and Professional Knowledge — same marks/duration structure as above.

Main Examination (125–155 Minutes)

The Mains exam includes English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude/General Awareness, Professional Knowledge (Objective – 50 questions/100 marks), and a Descriptive Paper (Law Officer & Rajbhasha Adhikari posts only) worth 25 marks.

Only the Professional Knowledge score determines merit; other sections are qualifying in nature.

Negative Marking

A penalty of 0.25 marks is deducted for each wrong answer in objective tests. No penalty applies to unattempted questions.


Selection Process:

  1. Online Preliminary Examination
  2. Online Main Examination
  3. Common Interview (100 marks; minimum qualifying 40%, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)

The final merit list is prepared based on 80:20 weightage between the Main Examination and Interview scores.
