MHRB Assam Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 492 Registrar, Demonstrator & Resident Physician Posts

The Medical and Health Recruitment Board (MHRB), Assam, has released the MHRB Assam Recruitment 2026 Notification for recruitment to 492 posts of Registrar, Demonstrator, Resident Physician, and other posts in various Government Medical Colleges under the Medical Education & Research Department, Government of Assam.

Eligible Indian citizens possessing the required medical qualifications can submit their applications online through the official NHM Assam recruitment portal. The online application process will start on 16 July 2026, and the last date to apply is 28 July 2026.

Broad Speciality:

A Post Graduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB/MDS in the concerned subject from an institute under any Indian University recognised by National Medical Commission (previously MCI) / National Board of Education (NBE)/ Dental Council of India for the following Departments – Anaesthesiology, Dentistry, Derniatology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, FSM, Medicine, Microbiology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, O&G, Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, PM & R, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, SPM (Community Medicine), TB & Chest (Pulmonary Medicine), Nuclear Medicine.

• A Post Graduate qualification MS (Anatomy) / M.Sc (Medical Anatomy) with PhD in Medical Anatomy for Anatomy Department, as per the latest notification of NMC, New Delhi.
• A Post Graduate qualification MD (Biochemistry) / M.Sc (Medical Biochemistry) with PhD in Medical Biochemistry for Biochemistry Department, as per the latest notification of NMC, New
  Delhi.
• A Post Graduate qualification MD (Physiology) / M.Sc (Medical Physiology) with PhD in Medical Physiology for Physiology Department, as per the latest notification of NMC, New Delhi.

Super Speciality:

• A Post Graduate qualification MD/DNB in General Medicine for Medical Super Speciality (Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology)
• A Post Graduate qualification MS/DNB in General Surgery for Surgical Super Speciality (Plastic Surgery, CTVS, Neuro-Surgery, Urology, Paediatric Surgery)
• Candidates having DM/ M.Ch./ DNB in the concerned super speciality subject will be given preference/ weightage.

Age Limit

As of 01 January 2026:

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years

Age Relaxation

• PwD Candidates: 10 years of relaxation.

Application Fee

The application fee can be paid through:

• Treasury Challan
• GRAS Online Payment System.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive:

• Pay Scale: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 per month
• Academic Level-10
• Other allowances as admissible under Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection procedure will be announced separately by the Medical and Health Recruitment Board depending on the number of applications received.
