GTBH Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTBH), Delhi has released an official advertisement for the engagement of Senior Resident Doctors on an ad-hoc basis. A total of 58 Senior Resident vacancies are available across various departments. Eligible medical candidates can submit their application through the prescribed Google Form and appear for the interview on the scheduled date.

The initial appointment will be for 44 days, which may be extended subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification. The interview process will be conducted from 18 August to 22 August 2026.

Vacancy Details:

GTBH has announced 58 Senior Resident posts in different medical departments. The department-wise vacancy details are given below.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree, DNB or PG Diploma in the relevant field. If suitable candidates with these qualifications are not available, candidates possessing MBBS with 3 years of experience in the relevant field may be considered.

DMC Registration

Candidates should have a valid Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration certificate at the time of interview.

Candidates who have applied for DMC registration may also be allowed to appear, provided they submit the required acknowledgement and details. Candidates submitting an acknowledgement of DMC registration application must produce the valid DMC Registration Certificate within 45 days of joining, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 45 years as on the date of interview.

Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years

The age provisions are as specified in the recruitment advertisement.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive:

₹67,700/- + NPA in Pay Level 11

Other allowances will be admissible as per applicable rules.

Tenure

The initial appointment is for 44 days. It may be extended for additional 44-day periods, subject to the conditions in the notification.

The maximum tenure for the Senior Resident post is 3 years, including any previous Senior Resident tenure served in a Government Hospital/Institute/Organization.

Candidates who have already completed three years of Senior Residency may apply under the relaxed criteria, which is admissible for one year on an ad-hoc basis. Separate merit lists will be prepared for fresh candidates and candidates who have already completed three years.

Application Fee

The application fee is:

• UR/OBC: ₹500
• SC/ST/PH/EWS: No fee

The ₹500 fee must be paid through a Demand Draft issued by a Delhi/NCR bank branch in favour of “PAO-VIII GNCT of Delhi.” The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection of Senior Residents will be made on the basis of an Interview.

Candidates selected for the post will also have to undergo medical examination before the Staff Physician, GTBH, Delhi.

Documents Required

Candidates should attach self-attested photocopies of the required certificates/documents with the application. The original certificates must be produced during the interview/joining as required.

Candidates with BLS and ATLS/ACLS or equivalent life-saving course certificates may receive preference/extra marks, subject to the notification.
