IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the CRP RRBs XV Notification 2026 for recruitment to Group “A” Officer posts (Scale I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). The online registration process is open from 1 September 2026 to 21 September 2026.

Based on the indicative vacancies reported in Annexure I of the notification (with Tripura marked NR – Not Reported), the notification currently lists 13,706 vacancies across the various posts.

Educational Qualification

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent. Proficiency in the prescribed local language is required, while working knowledge of computers is desirable.

Officer Scale-I – Assistant Manager

• A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates having degrees in fields such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, IT, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy. Local-language proficiency is required, and computer knowledge is desirable.

Officer Scale-II – General Banking Officer

• Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks, along with two years’ experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Officer Scale-II – Specialist Officers

Officer Scale-III – Senior Manager

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks and at least 5 years’ experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
• All prescribed educational results must have been declared on or before 21 September 2026.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 01 September 2026.

For Office Assistant, candidates should have been born between 02.09.1998 and 01.09.2008. For Scale-I, the applicable dates are 02.09.1996–01.09.2008; Scale-II 02.09.1994–01.09.2005; and Scale-III 02.09.1986–01.09.2005, with both boundary dates inclusive.

Age Relaxation

Separate provisions apply to Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen and eligible widowed, divorced or legally separated women applying for Office Assistant posts.

Application Fee

The fees include GST. Bank transaction charges, where applicable, must be borne by the candidate. Payment is accepted online only.

Selection Process:

The selection process varies according to the post.

For Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, IBPS will conduct Preliminary and Main examinations. Office Assistant candidates are provisionally allotted based on Main examination marks and reported vacancies, while shortlisted Scale-I candidates proceed to a Common Interview after the Main examination.

For Officer Scale-II and Scale-III, candidates appear for a Single Online Examination, followed by a Common Interview for shortlisted candidates.

Preliminary Exam Pattern:

Officer Scale-I

Candidates must qualify in both tests to be considered for shortlisting for the Main examination.

Main Examination

For Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, the Main examination consists of 200 questions for 200 marks with a total duration of 120 minutes. Subjects include Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English/Hindi and Numerical Ability or Quantitative Aptitude, depending on the post.

Negative Marking

There is negative marking in the objective tests. One-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

How to Apply:

Candidates can apply online only from 1 September 2026 to 21 September 2026. No other mode of application will be accepted.

1. Visit the official IBPS website and open the “CRP for RRBs” section. Then choose either “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP-RRBs-OFFICERS (Scale-I, II and III)” or “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP-RRBs-OFFICE ASSISTANTS (Multipurpose)”.
2. Click “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and enter the required basic details. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and also sent through Email/SMS.
3. Upload the required documents: photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, SSC/SSLC/10th certificate and applicable certificates/UDID documents. Candidates must also capture and upload a photograph through webcam or mobile phone during registration.
4. Fill in the remaining personal, educational and post-related details carefully. Use the “Save and Next” option to verify the information before final submission because changes are restricted after completing registration.
5. Pay the prescribed application fee through online mode only. Payment options include Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards and Mobile Wallets.
6. After successful payment, an e-receipt will be generated. Download/print the e-receipt and the completed online application form and keep them safely for future reference. There is no need to send the printed application to IBPS or the RRB.
