HPRCA Recruitment 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur, has released a recruitment notification for 2,423 teaching vacancies under Advertisement No. 14/2026. The recruitment includes posts such as English Teacher, Mathematics Teacher, Hindi Teacher, Political Science Teacher, History Teacher, Economics Teacher, Physics Teacher, Chemistry Teacher, Biology Teacher and other teaching positions.

Category-wise Vacancies

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the educational qualifications prescribed for their respective teaching posts. The main eligibility requirements are given below.

1. English Teacher

• Master’s Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in English.
• Minimum 50% marks at the graduation level, subject to the detailed notification conditions.
• B.Ed. with English as a compulsory subject.
• Must have passed the prescribed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
• Additional subject-wise marks requirements apply.

2. Mathematics Teacher

• Master’s Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Mathematics.
• Minimum 50% marks at the graduation level, subject to notification conditions.
• B.Ed. with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
• Must have passed the prescribed TET.

3. Teacher (Hindi)

• Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• B.Ed. with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Must have passed TET.
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.

4. Teacher (Political Science)

• Master’s Degree in Political Science with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• B.Ed. with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Must have passed TET.
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.

5. Teacher (History)

• Master’s Degree in History with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• B.Ed. with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Must have passed TET.
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.

6. Teacher (Economics)

• Master’s Degree in Economics, Applied Economics or Business Economics.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• B.Ed. with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Must have passed TET.
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.

7. Other Teaching Posts

For Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Sanskrit, Computer, Music, Commerce, Physical Education and Fine Arts Teacher posts, candidates should refer to Advertisement No. 14/2026 for the complete post-specific educational qualifications and other eligibility conditions.

Important: Candidates must complete One Time Registration (OTR) before submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA). TET requirements and subject-specific eligibility conditions must be checked in the official notification.

Age Limit

The age limit for HPRCA Teacher Recruitment 2026 is:

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years

The age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.

Age relaxation for eligible reserved categories will be applicable according to the rules and conditions mentioned in the official notification.

Please note that candidates belonging to reserved categories of states other than Himachal Pradesh will be treated as General (UR) candidates for reservation and fee concession purposes.

Salary

Candidates selected through HPRCA Recruitment 2026 will receive a fixed monthly honorarium.

The engagement is purely scheme-based and temporary for a period of five years. It is not against sanctioned posts of the Education Department and does not provide any right to regularization.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on the following stages:

1. Written Screening Test: Candidates will have to appear for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or OMR-based examination.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of their educational qualifications, certificates and other relevant documents.
3. Final Recommendation: Eligible candidates will be recommended according to merit, category, post availability and applicable preferences.

The written examination may be conducted through CBT, while an OMR-based test may be preferred where the number of applicants is limited.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• General Category: 45%
• SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters: 40%

The Aayog may relax the qualifying marks by up to 5 percentage points if the number of candidates qualifying is insufficient compared with the available vacancies, subject to the notification.
