IPRCL Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 8 Chief General Manager (CGM) Posts

Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRCL) has released the IPRCL Recruitment 2026 Notification for 8 Chief General Manager (CGM) vacancies in different engineering disciplines. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. 08/2026.

Eligible and experienced engineering professionals can apply for CGM (Projects), CGM (Electrical), CGM (S&T) and CGM (Mechanical) positions through the offline application process. The maximum age limit is 57 years, and the selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹1,20,000 to ₹2,80,000 per month, along with applicable allowances and other benefits.

Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Limited has announced a total of 8 vacancies across four Chief General Manager positions.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a full-time engineering degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution. The required qualifications are given below.

1. CGM (Projects)/E8

• Full-time Degree in Engineering in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Electronics & Communication.
• Preference will be given to candidates having a full-time Civil Engineering degree.
• Relevant experience in the execution of infrastructure projects is required.
• Experience in railway tracks, underground/elevated metro projects, railway projects and multistorey building projects is desirable.

2. CGM (Electrical)/E8

• Full-time Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in the execution of infrastructure projects is required.
• Experience in railway electric traction, general power supply, air conditioning, building electrification and road lighting projects is desirable.

3. CGM (S&T)/E8

• Full-time Degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in infrastructure project execution is required.
• Experience in railway signalling and telecommunication equipment installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance is desirable.
• Knowledge of IT systems, Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies is preferred.

4. CGM (Mechanical)/E8

• Full-time Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in infrastructure project execution is required.
• Experience in planning, procurement, operation and maintenance of trainsets, wagons and rolling stock is desirable.
• Knowledge of metro, MRTS, railway, elevated road and ropeway projects will be beneficial.

Note: The prescribed engineering degree qualification is not applicable to candidates applying on a deputation basis. Candidates must fulfil the other applicable eligibility and experience conditions mentioned in the official notification.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for all four posts is 57 years as on 04 December 2026.

Age relaxation is available for employees presently working on the rolls of IPRCL. Such employees may receive relaxation beyond the upper age limit to the extent of their service period rendered in IPRCL.

Salary

Candidates selected for Chief General Manager positions will receive an attractive salary package according to the applicable terms of engagement.

In addition to the basic pay, candidates appointed on absorption will be eligible for applicable allowances and Performance Related Pay (PRP), as per company rules.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their eligibility, qualifications and relevant professional experience.

3. Document Verification: Candidates must produce original certificates and submit self-attested photocopies during the interview.

If five or more eligible candidates are available per vacancy, IPRCL may shortlist candidates in a 1:5 ratio based on their eligibility and experience.

The interview may be conducted at the IPRCL Corporate Office, through video conferencing or at another location decided by the organisation.
