AAU KVK Recruitment 2026: Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat has released Advertisement No. 2/2026 inviting online applications for recruitment to various posts under Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). Eligible Indian citizens can apply online for 33 vacancies, including Senior Scientist & Head, Subject Matter Specialist, Farm Manager, Programme Assistant, Assistant, Stenographer Grade-III, Driver and Supporting Staff.

Interested candidates can submit their online applications through the official AAU recruitment portal from 27 July 2026 to 26 August 2026.

Vacancy Details:

Qualification:

Senior Scientist & Head

• Pay Scale: ₹1,31,400/- (Level 13A)
• Qualification: Doctoral Degree in relevant discipline with 8 years’ experience.

Subject Matter Specialist (T6)

• Pay Scale: ₹56,100/- (Level 10)
• Qualification: Master’s Degree in relevant Agriculture/Animal Science/Fisheries discipline.

Farm Manager (T4)

• Pay Scale: ₹35,400/- (Level 6)
• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Animal Science/Fisheries/Horticulture/Sericulture.

Programme Assistant (Lab Technician)

• Pay Scale: ₹35,400/- (Level 6)
• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.

Programme Assistant (Computer)

• Pay Scale: ₹35,400/- (Level 6)
• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Application/Information Technology or equivalent.

Assistant

• Pay Scale: ₹35,400/- (Level 6)
• Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Accounts & Establishment.

• Pay Scale: ₹25,500/- (Level 4)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application.
• English shorthand at 80 WPM.
• Computer transcription test.

Driver (T1)

• Pay Scale: ₹21,700/- (Level 3)

Qualification

• HSLC Pass.
• Valid Heavy & Light Vehicle Driving Licence.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience.

Supporting Staff Grade-I

• Vacancies: 3
• Pay Scale: ₹18,000/- (Level 1)
• Qualification: Matriculation or ITI Pass.

Age Limit

• Senior Scientist & Head: Maximum 47 years
• Subject Matter Specialist/Farm Manager/Programme Assistant: Maximum 38 years
• Assistant/Stenographer/Driver/Supporting Staff: Maximum 40 years

Age will be calculated as on: 01 January 2026

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of Assam rules.
