Vacancy Details

A total of 3,500 apprenticeship training seats have been announced across India.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should carefully check the prescribed eligibility requirements before submitting the application.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Importantly, candidates must have passed their graduation not earlier than 1 January 2023 and not later than 1 September 2026.

Age Limit

The prescribed age limit is:

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years

Candidates should have been born between 2 September 1998 and 1 September 2006, both dates inclusive.

Age Relaxation

Local Language Requirement

• Candidates who can produce their Class 10 or Class 12 certificate/mark sheet showing that they studied the prescribed local language of the selected State will not be required to take the local language test.
• Other candidates will have to qualify the local language test during the document verification stage. Failure to qualify the language test will result in non-engagement as an apprentice.

Stipend

• Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of: ₹16,650 per month
• The apprenticeship period will be 12 months. Candidates selected as apprentices will not be treated as regular employees of Canara Bank and will not receive employee benefits.
• The notification further states that Canara Bank has no obligation to provide regular employment during or after completion of the apprenticeship.

Selection Process

The Canara Bank Apprentice selection process is based primarily on a State-wise merit list prepared from candidates’ marks in the 12th Standard/HSC/10+2 or Diploma examination.
