Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has released the DVC Executive Trainee Recruitment 2026 notification for 108 Executive Trainee vacancies in various engineering disciplines. Eligible candidates can apply online for Executive Trainee (Mechanical), Electrical, Civil, Control & Instrumentation (C&I), and Mining posts.

The online application process starts on 06 November 2026, and the last date to submit the application form is 06 December 2026. Candidates must possess a relevant B.E./B. Tech degree and a valid GATE 2025 score in the corresponding paper to be eligible.

Category-Wise Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from an AICTE-approved or appropriately recognized university/institution.

The minimum qualifying marks are:

• General/OBC (NCL)/EWS: 65% aggregate marks.
• SC/ST/PwD: 60% aggregate marks.
• Candidates must have a valid GATE 2025 score in the corresponding engineering paper.

Discipline-Wise Educational Qualification

1. Executive Trainee (Mechanical)

Full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Mechanical & Automation Engineering, or Power Engineering.

2. Executive Trainee (Electrical)

Full-time B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Power Systems & High Voltage, Power Electronics, or Power Engineering.

3. Executive Trainee (Civil)

Full-time B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

4. Executive Trainee (Control & Instrumentation)

Full-time B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering.

5. Executive Trainee (Mining)

Full-time B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering.

Other Eligibility Conditions:

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
• Candidates can apply for only one post or engineering discipline.
• A valid GATE 2025 score in the relevant paper is mandatory.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for DVC Executive Trainee Recruitment is 29 years as on the closing date of the online application.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation for other eligible categories will be provided according to Government of India guidelines.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary under the 7th Central Pay Commission.

• Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
• Pay Level: Level 10
• Grade: M2
• Probation Period: One Year

After successful completion of the probation period, candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Managers in the same pay scale.

Service Agreement Bond

Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond covering the one-year probation period and a minimum of three additional years of service.

Applicable interest may also be charged as per the recruitment notification.

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online. Bank transaction charges, if applicable, must be borne by the candidate.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in GATE 2025 and subsequent verification procedures.

The selection process includes:

1. GATE 2025 Score: Marks obtained out of 100 in the corresponding GATE 2025 paper will be considered.
2. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on merit and category-wise vacancies. The shortlisting ratio will be 1:5 or more.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce their original certificates and supporting documents.
4. Medical Examination: Candidates must qualify in the pre-employment medical examination conducted by the DVC Medical Board.

The final merit list will be prepared according to the applicable selection criteria. In case of a tie, the older candidate will receive preference.
