East Coast Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026: East Coast Railway (ECoR), through the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Bhubaneswar, has released the East Coast Railway Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification to engage 1,599 Act Apprentices across various trades. Eligible candidates can apply online from 26 August 2026 to 15 September 2026.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for ECoR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must generally meet the following educational requirements:

1. Passed Matriculation/Class 10th under the 10+2 system.
2. Secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Matriculation.
3. Possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade affiliated with NCVT/SCVT under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

The required qualification must have been obtained by the prescribed date. Candidates whose Class 10 or ITI results were still awaited on the notification date are not eligible.

Special Qualification

• For the Laboratory Technician (Pathology) trade, candidates must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, along with the prescribed marks requirements.
• Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible under this particular apprentice notification, as they come under a separate apprenticeship scheme.

Age Limit

The candidate’s age will be calculated as on 15 September 2026.

• Minimum Age: 15 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years

Age Relaxation

Candidates should carefully check the official notification for category-specific age-relaxation conditions before applying.

Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable and is paid online through the integrated payment gateway.

Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend at the prescribed rate applicable under the Apprentices Act and Railway Board rules.

The notification does not specify a fixed stipend amount. Candidates should also note that hostel accommodation is not provided, so apprentices must make their own arrangements for accommodation.

Selection Process

The selection process for East Coast Railway Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is based on merit.
