IIT Indore Sports Coach Recruitment 2026 – The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released an official notification for a Walk-in Interview for Part-Time Sports Coaches vide Advertisement No. IITI/SA/HCU/SPORTS/2025-26/05 dated April 2, 2026. IIT Indore is inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for 02 part-time positions — Badminton Coach and Swimming Pool Instructor cum Lifeguard — at its campus on Khandwa Road, Simrol, Indore. The Walk-in Interview is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM, and candidates are advised to send an advance copy of their application to hcu@iiti.ac.in by April 23, 2026, by 5:00 PM.
A total of 02 part-time vacancies have been announced for sports coaching positions at IIT Indore’s campus. Both positions carry a preference for women candidates:
Candidates may be appointed at one of three levels — Junior Coach, Coach, or Senior Coach — depending on their qualifications and experience as assessed during the interview. The remuneration is fixed during the interview and is not negotiable:

Coach
Graduation (any subject) with Diploma in Coaching from SAI / NS-NIS or any other recognized institution in the relevant sport ORBachelor’s in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) from a recognized University
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a premier / recognized organization
₹45,000 – ₹55,000/month
Senior Coach
Graduation (any subject) with Diploma in Coaching from SAI / NS-NIS or any other recognized institution in the relevant sport ORBachelor’s in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) from a recognized University
Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in a premier / recognized organization
₹56,000 – ₹65,000/month

Details
Step I
Certificate Verification
All original educational certificates, experience letters, coaching diplomas/certificates, and identity documents will be verified. Candidates who fail to produce the required original documents will not be considered further.
Step II
Trade Test / Skill Test
Practical demonstration of coaching skills and technical proficiency in the respective sport (Badminton or Swimming). Candidates will be assessed on their sport-specific knowledge, coaching methodology, and physical ability.
Step III
Personality Test / Interview
Personal interview by the HCU (Sports) selection committee to assess communication skills, approach to coaching, knowledge of sports science, and suitability. Remuneration level (Junior/Coach/Senior) is also finalised during this stage.
