Application Fee:

The application fee for JSSC JILCCE 2026 is affordable and category-specific. Candidates of Jharkhand state’s Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes pay a reduced fee, while PwBD candidates of Jharkhand with 40% or above disability are fully exempt from the fee. The fee is non-refundable once paid.

Selection Process:

The JSSC JILCCE 2026 selection process is a two-stage examination – Preliminary Exam followed by Main Exam – conducted via Computer-Based Test (CBT) or OMR method. If applications for a particular subject exceed 50,000, a Preliminary Exam will generally be held before the Main Exam; if applications are fewer than 50,000, the commission may directly conduct the Main Exam. Scores across multiple shifts are normalised using a published formula available on the JSSC website.

Stage 1 – Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Exam is a single paper of 120 multiple-choice questions (3 marks each) with a duration of 2 hours. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer. The paper consists of:
