Educational Qualification
The required qualification differs according to the discipline.
- Finance (CA & CMA):
- Candidates must be Chartered Accountants from ICAI or Cost and Management Accountants from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, along with graduation/post-graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks. The minimum is 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Legal:
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Law from a recognised university with at least 60% marks, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Information Technology:
- B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology or MCA with the prescribed percentage.
- Automobile Engineers:
- B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Automobile Engineering, or an engineering degree in another branch along with at least a one-year diploma in Automobile Engineering.
- Risk Engineers:
- Engineering graduation/post-graduation in any discipline other than the specified IT and Automobile Engineering disciplines, with the prescribed percentage.
- Company Secretaries:
- ACS/FCS from ICSI along with graduation/post-graduation in any discipline.
- Agriculture:
- Four-year graduation or postgraduate qualification in Agriculture, Agricultural Biotechnology or Agricultural Engineering.
- Generalist Officers:
- Graduate or postgraduate in any stream from a recognised university with at least 60% marks, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
The qualification must be from a recognised Indian university/institution approved by the relevant authorities. Candidates must possess the required degree or marksheet by 1 October 2026.

Salary
The starting basic pay for NICL Administrative Officers is ₹82,485 per month in the prescribed scale of pay.
According to the notification, the total emoluments are approximately ₹1,14,000 per month in metropolitan centres. Negative Marking
