Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess:

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • OR
  • Equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

  • Candidates should possess the ability to read, write, and speak the Regional Language of the State/UT for which they are applying.

Selected candidates will receive:

  • Basic Pay: ₹36,290/- per month

Selection Process

The selection process for NICL Assistant Recruitment 2026 consists of three stages. Candidates must qualify in each stage to be considered for final appointment.

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Online)

The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature and consists of objective-type questions.

Stage 2: Main Examination (Online)

Candidates shortlisted in the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination.

Stage 3: Regional Language Test

Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will be called for the Regional Language Test, which is qualifying in nature. Final merit will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination, subject to qualifying the Regional Language Test.

Finally, shortlisted candidates will undergo:
