Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the OPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor Recruitment 2026 must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised University.
- At least 2 years of experience as a practising Advocate.
Candidates are required to upload the prescribed experience certificate issued by the concerned District & Sessions Judge along with the applicable Bar Council enrolment certificate.

Age Relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxable as per the applicable rules:

- Women: 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- PwD with permanent disability of 40% or more: 10 years
- PwD candidates belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories may receive cumulative relaxation as prescribed in the notification.
Only the most beneficial applicable age relaxation is allowed where a candidate falls under more than one category.
Knowledge of Odia
The candidate must be able to speak, read and write Odia.
The candidate must have either:
- Passed the Middle School Standard Language Test in Odia conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha; or
- Passed the Matriculation/Class 10 examination with Odia as a subject.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories are exempted from paying the examination fee.
Other candidates have to pay the examination fee: ₹700/-
The fee must be paid online while submitting the application form.
An important feature of this recruitment is that the examination fee paid by eligible candidates will be refunded after the Preliminary Examination, provided the candidate actually appears in the Preliminary Examination.
