Eligibility Criteria

Educational & Technical Qualifications

  • Academic: 10th Class (Matriculation under 10+2 system) passed with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board (rounding off is not permitted).
  • Technical: National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the designated trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.
  • Note: Candidates awaiting final exam results are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit (as of 06.11.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 15 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC / ST: 5 years
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
    • PwBD Candidates: 10 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 10 additional years (based on defence service rendered + 3 years)

Selection Process

Selection is conducted without a written test or interview:

  • Merit Calculation: Formed on the simple average of percentage marks secured in Matriculation (all subjects counted) and ITI Trade marks.
  • Tie-Breaking Criteria: Older candidates receive preference. If the date of birth is also identical, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier is ranked higher.
  • Verification: Shortlisted applicants will undergo Document Verification (DV) and medical fitness assessment at their opted division/unit.
