The RRC Western Railway Recruitment 2026 offers 5349 vacancies for Apprentice posts. Interested candidates can apply online from February 21, 2026, to March 23, 2026, at the RRC-WRwebsite (rrc-wr.com).
Applicants must have passed Matriculation (10th class) under the 10+2 examination system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board.
Applicants must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade, affiliated to NCVT, as detailed below:

Welder: ITI in Welder
Turner: ITI in Turner
Machinist: ITI in Machinist
Carpenter: ITI in Carpenter
Painter (General): ITI in Painter (General)
Diesel Mechanic: ITI in Diesel Mechanic
Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): ITI in Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
Programming & System Administration Assistant: ITI in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant
Electrician: ITI in Electrician
Electronics Mechanic: ITI in Electronics Mechanic
Wireman: ITI in Wireman or Electrician
Mechanic Refrigeration & AC: ITI in Mechanic Refrigeration & AC
Pipe Fitter: ITI in Plumber or Pipe Fitter

Age Limit:
Applicants must be 15 years of age and must not have attained 24 years of age as on 23/03/2026.
SC/ST Candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years.
OBC Candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 3 years.
Persons with Disabilities (PWD): Upper age limit relaxed by 10 years.
Ex-Servicemen: The upper age limit is relaxed by an additional 10 years for Ex-Servicemen,plus the length of military service rendered, and an additional 3 years, provided they have completed a minimum of 6 months continuous service in the Defence Forces.

Selection Process:
Merit list based on the average of the percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (minimum aggregate of 50%) and the ITI examination, with equal weightage to both.
In the event of two or more applicants securing the same marks, preference will be given to the older candidate. If the dates of birth are also identical, the candidate who passed the Matriculation examination earlier will be given priority.
