The PPSC Recruitment 2025 offers 101 vacancies for Horticulture Development Officer (HDO) posts at the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Interested candidates can apply online from October 17, 2025, to November 14, 2025, at the PPSC website (ppsc.gov.in).
Should possess a degree in B.Sc. Agriculture (Minimum 50% marks) with Horticulture as an elective subject or Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) in Horticulture/ B.Sc. Horticulture from a recognized University or Institution;
Should possess degree in M.Sc. Horticulture from a recognized University or Institution; and
Should have passed Matriculation Examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language, which the Punjab Government may specify from time to time.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025):
Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Maximum Age limit: 37 Years
Age relaxation:
The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 45 years for Punjab Government employees, the employees of its Boards/Corporations/Commissions and Authorities, and all States/ Central Government employees.
The upper age limit is relaxed up to 42 years for the Scheduled Castes and Backwards Classes of Punjab.
Ex-servicemen of Punjab Domicile shall be allowed to deduct the period of their service in the Armed Forces of the Union from their actual age, and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such a vacancy in the Service Rules concerned by more than three years, they shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.
The upper age limit is also relaxed up to 42 years for widows, divorcees and certain other categories of women.
The upper age limit is also relaxed up to 47 years for “Persons with Disabilities” of Punjab.

For Ex-Serviceman, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and Lineal Descendants of Ex-Serviceman (LDESM) of Punjab State only: Rs. 500/-
Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes of Punjab State only: Rs. 750/-
All other Categories: Rs. 1500/-
Selection Process:
