Qualification & Experience:

• Professor: 
  • PhD degree in a relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch. and Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor and At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor / Co-supervisor till the date of eligibility.
• Associate Professor: 
  • PhD degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch. At least a total of 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals, and a Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.
• Assistant Professor:
  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET, or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree by the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET
• System Analyst: 
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks (an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Computer Technology / Computer Application / Information Technology or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Assistant Librarian: 
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks (an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Computer Operator: 
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% of the marks (an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Computer Technology / Computer Application / Information Technology or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956 and Minimum Two years experience of state/central universities or state/central government institutes or Public limited companies.
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks (an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Computer Technology / Computer Application / Information Technology or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University 35 Years D:\SINGAL CADRE\MKBU_GUJ.DOCX Page 3 incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956. and Minimum one year of experience in state/central universities or state/central government institutes, or Public limited companies.
• Curator (Life Science Department): 
  • Bachelor’s degree with Zoology as a main subject or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Herbarium keeper (Life Science Department): 
  • Bachelor’s degree with Botany as a main subject from a recognized University
• Wireman​​​​​​​: 
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
  • Two year’s certificate course in wireman or electrician obtained from any of the ITIs established by the government, and two years of experience in government institutes
• Lab Assistant Cum Store Keeper (Samaldas Arts College)​​​​​​​: 
  • Bachelor’s degree with Home Science subject or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Driver​​​​​​​: 
  • A Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/Institution.
  • Possession of a valid driving license of light motor vehicles (minimum five years old license) and heavy motor vehicles (minimum three years old license).
• Assistant:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Typist:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Junior Engineer (Civil):
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil) with 55% of the marks (an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
  • Diploma in Engineering (Civil) with 55% of the marks (an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or possess an equivalent qualification with at least 2 years of experience as Junior Engineer or Works Assistant in Building construction in a responsible position from recognized Institute.
• Field Collector:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Botany as a main subject or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Lab. Technician: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Botany, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology as a main subject or possess an equivalent qualification obtained from a University incorporated or established by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India; or other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.

 Age Limit:

How to Apply:

• Only candidates possessing Indian citizenship may apply. Further, they should have adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
• The Candidates must ensure that they possess all the qualifications and experience for the respective post before applying online.
• The website for submitting the online application:
• The selection procedure shall be carried out as per the Gujarat Public Universities Act, 2023, ‘The Gujarat Public Universities Uniform Statutes, 2024’, UGC Regulations 2018, AICTE Regulations 2019, NCTE Regulations 2014, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University Ordinance-1, direct recruitment of teaching employees and subsequent amendments from time to time.
• The Candidate must submit separate applications for each post and pay a separate fee for each post.
• After submitting the online application, the candidate must take a printout (hard copy) of the application form and send the hard copies (Five Sets) to the General Section of the University within the prescribed time limit specified in the advertisement. The hard copies shall be in the following sequence:
  • a. Samarth Form
  • b. Form A – Academic Background for the post of Assistant Professor (Direct Recruitment) – (Attached herewith as Annexure-1)
  • c. Self-attested copies of certificates providing the prescribed qualifications and experience as mentioned in the advertisement must be attached.
• Applications with incomplete details or those received after the deadline will not be considered. The candidate must ensure that the application form is received by the University on or before the last date prescribed by the University for acceptance of applications, either by Registered Post/ Speed Post/ in person.
