Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification & Experience:

  • 10+2 from a recognized education Board/Institution
  • Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard or higher education
  • No extra weightage will be given for any higher education
  • Candidates must have qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group-C with a minimum 50% marks for the general category and 40% marks for the reserved category

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years for all CET Group C qualified candidates as on 01.01.2026
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years relaxation for Scheduled Castes, Backwards Classes and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories as per Government instructions
  • For Ex-servicemen: The break in service between the date of discharge and the 1st day of the month (01.01.2026) in which the enrolment process is started, shall not exceed four years as per rule 12.24 (1) (c) of Punjab Police Rules, 1934
  • Special Note for Previous Applicants: For candidates who applied against the Advt. 14/2024, the age limit was 18-25 years as on 01.09.2024. However, they must apply afresh

Selection Process

  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Qualifying nature test based on height and chest measurements as per prescribed standards
  • Height Standards:
    • Male General Category: 170 cm
    • Male Reserved Categories: 168 cm
    • Female General Category: 158 cm
    • Female Reserved Categories: 156 cm
  • Chest Standards (Male only):
    • General Category: 83 cm unexpanded with 4 cm expansion minimum
    • Reserved Categories: 81 cm unexpanded with 4 cm expansion minimum
  • Physical Screening Test (PST): Qualifying nature test to judge physical fitness and endurance
    • Male: 2.5 Kilometres in 12 Minutes
    • Female: 1.0 Kilometre in 6 Minutes
    • Ex-Serviceman: 1.0 Kilometre in 5 Minutes
  • Knowledge Test: 97% weightage comprising objective-type, multiple-choice questions
    • Minimum 50% marks for the general category
    • Minimum 40% marks for the reserved category
  • Additional Weightage: Maximum 03 marks
    • NCC ‘A’ Certificate: 01 mark
    • NCC ‘B’ Certificate: 02 marks
    • NCC ‘C’ Certificate: 03 marks
  • Syllabus: General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Computer Knowledge (10%), Haryana Knowledge (20%)
  • Medium: Bilingual (English & Hindi)
  • Negative Marking: 0.97 marks deduction for unattempted questions

  • The recruitment will be made strictly in accordance with the CET Policy for Group C dated 31.12.2024 and its amendment dated 11.07.2025
  • Standard digital measurement devices shall be used for the Physical Measurement Test
  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) or superior technology shall be used for the Physical Screening Test
  • An adequate number of candidates will be invited based on CET merit for PMT and PST (both qualifying)
  • Commission shall shortlist candidates equal to ten times the advertised posts for each category for the Knowledge Test
  • The Commission may conduct examinations in batches as deemed necessary
  • All rules/instructions prevailing on the opening date shall be applicable
  • Candidates should fill out the online application form carefully and upload all required documents
  • No offline application form will be accepted
  • OMR sheets have three folios – candidates must not mark anything on Commission copy
  • Use of eraser, nail, blade, white fluid/whitener on the OMR sheet will result in cancellation
  • The answer key will be published on the website after the examination
  • Objections to the answer key can be filed within the specified period with Rs. 250 per objection (non-refundable)
  • Medical fitness and character verification will be done by the appointing authority before appointment
  • Candidates obtaining degrees from fake institutions are not eligible
  • Commission reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts till recommendation date
  • Use of mobile phones and electronic devices duringthe examination is strictly prohibited
  • Candidates will be subjected to extensive frisking with sensitive metal detectors
  • No arrangement will be made for keeping personal belongings at the examination centre
