Degree in Engineering in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics from Government Approved Institute

Degree in Engineering in Mechanical or Mining Machinery from Government Approved institute
Assistant Safety Officer (CE-06):
Degree in Mining Engineering from a Government-approved institute, havinga 2nd class Mines Manager Certificate (Coal)
Overman Coal (All Categories) (CE-04):
Diploma in Mining Engineering/Mining and Mine Surveying from recognised institute of repute with a 2nd class Manager Certificate/Overman certificate of Competency under CMR issued by DGMS for Coal. Valid First Aid certificate
Essential Qualifications:
All essential qualifications should have been acquired from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE/DGMS/Government of India, as applicable
All Diploma in Engineering qualifications should be of 3 years duration and have been acquired from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE/Government of India
The prescribed qualifications and experience are mandatory, and proof for the same has to be uploaded by the candidate during online application/registration, and also to be produced during document verification
Possession of a higher qualification other than the essential qualification does not entitle eligibility for the post
Experience:
Shift Manager (CE-07):
Minimum 07 years post-qualification work experience in Coal Mining. Must have 03 years of experience after obtaining the 1st class Mines Manager Certificate (Coal)
Welfare Officer (CE-06):
Minimum 04 years post-qualification work experience in the Mining sector
Assistant Shift In charge (CE-06):
Minimum 04 years post-qualification work experience in open-cast coal mines
Assistant Colliery Engineer (Electrical) (CE-06):
Minimum 04 years of post-qualification work experience in the repair/maintenance/commissioning of electrical equipment in large open-cast mines. Work experience in an electrical substation shall be desirable
Assistant Colliery Engineer (Mechanical) (CE-06):
Minimum 04 years of post-qualification work experience in the repair and maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery. Work experience in large opencast mines is desirable
Assistant Safety Officer (CE-06):
Minimum 04 years post-qualification experience in open-cast coal mines. Candidates who have served in a statutory capacity as Safety Officer in opencast coal mines will be desirable
Overman Coal (Safety) (CE-04):
Minimum 05 years post-qualification work experience in Open cast coal Mine. Candidates with experience as Workmen’s Inspectors will be considered an added advantage
Overman Coal (Production) (CE-04):
Minimum 05 years post-qualification work experience in Open cast coal mine in a statutory capacity as an Overman. Experience in greenfield coal mining projects in India shall be considered an added advantage
Overman Coal (Blasting) (CE-04):
Minimum 05 years post-qualification work experience in Open cast coal mine in a statutory capacity as Blasting Overman. Experience in greenfield coal mining projects in India shall be considered an added advantage
Overman Coal (Shift) (CE-04):
Minimum 05 years post-qualification work experience in Open cast coal mine in a statutory capacity as an Overman. Experience in greenfield coal mining projects in India shall be considered an added advantage
Wherever applicable, candidates have to produce an experience certificate as per DGMS approved format
Desirable:
Work experience in an electrical substation as an Assistant Colliery Engineer (Electrical)
Work experience in large opencast mines as an Assistant Colliery Engineer (Mechanical)

Age Limit (as on 17/02/2026):
Maximum Age for CE-06 and CE-04 Grades: 50 Years
Maximum Age for CE-07 Grade: 60 Years (maximum contract period)
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit can be relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBCs (Non-Creamy Layer) and for PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India Guidelines on the maximum age mentioned above
The cut-off date for reckoning eligibility for age will be the last date for submitting the online application, i.e., 17/02/2026
The date of birth as well as the name of the applicant will invariably be taken from the Matriculation/10th class certificate issued by the recognized Board, and no other proof of date of birth and name shall be accepted

Transaction charges, if any, will be borne by the candidate
On successful completion of the transaction, the application form with the Unique Transaction Number and Application number will be generated, which is to be printed for record
For a failed transaction, the amount will be automatically refunded to the same account from which the payment was originally made, within 10 working days
