GMC Mahabubnagar Recruitment 2026: Government Medical College (GMC), Mahabubnagar, Telangana has released Notification No. 02/GMC-MBNR/2026 dated 03 September 2026 for the recruitment of Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Tutors and Junior Residents on a contract basis. The appointments are purely temporary, up to 31 March 2027, or until the requirement ceases/regular posts are filled, whichever is earlier.

Vacancy Details:

Educational Qualification:

Professor

Candidates should possess MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject. Associate Professor

Candidates should possess MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject and satisfy the prescribed teaching/research experience requirements. Assistant Professor

Candidates should have an MD/MS in the concerned subject and satisfy the prescribed experience requirements. Tutor

• Qualification: MBBS or equivalent degree

Outside-state candidates must get their qualification registered with the Telangana State Medical Council within one week of selection for confirmation of appointment.

Age Limit

As stated in the notification:

• Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor: Below 69 years
• CAS & Tutors: Below 45 years

The age is considered as on the date of notification.

Salary:

Selected candidates will receive consolidated monthly remuneration according to the post.

Selection Process

• For Assistant Professor posts, marks obtained in the MD/MS/DNB PG Degree will be considered. For Tutor and Junior Resident posts, MBBS marks will be considered. Where marks are not awarded in the qualifying examination, 50% marks will be considered. For Professor and Associate Professor posts, teaching experience in the respective cadre will be considered.
• The recruitment is nationwide; however, the notification states that first preference will be given to local candidates, and candidates from other states will be considered if local candidates are unavailable.
