Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy either of the following qualification and experience requirements:
Option 1: M.Sc./M.Tech in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Food Science & Nutrition or Microbiology, along with at least 6 months of relevant experience in food testing, food analysis, laboratory operations and quality control.
OR
Option 2: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) or B.Tech/B.E. in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Microbiology, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience in food testing, food analysis, laboratory operations and quality control.
Desirable Experience
Candidates with at least 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management System, testing laboratory, PT/ILC programme or a related field will be preferred.
Desirable Training
Training in Internal Auditing as per ISO/IEC 17043:2023 for Proficiency Testing Providers is desirable.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 35 years.
A relaxation of 5 years is applicable to women, SC, ST, OBC and differently abled candidates, as per Government of India rules.
Salary
The selected candidate will receive:
₹37,000 per month + 8% HRA.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills
NIFTEM-K has listed several desirable competencies for the post, including:
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17043:2023 requirements for proficiency testing providers.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, particularly for laboratory testing.
- Knowledge of document control, record control, internal audits, nonconformity, corrective action, risk management and continual improvement.
- Understanding of PT programme planning, PT item handling, homogeneity/stability, participant communication, result evaluation and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of statistical concepts such as assigned value, standard deviation, z-score and performance evaluation.
- Training or competence in internal auditing of ISO/IEC 17043 or ISO/IEC 17025 management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, data management and preparation of quality records/reports.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and maintain SOPs, audit documents, CAPA records and PT documentation.
Selection Process
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
The date and time of the interview will be communicated to candidates through email only. Candidates appearing for the interview must bring their original certificates and other relevant documents.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Nature of Appointment
The appointment is purely contractual and co-terminable with the project.
The initial engagement will be for 12 months, and selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment at NIFTEM-K.
