Vacancy Details & Salary:

All 984 vacancies are at Level-3 of the Pay Matrix (₹21,700–₹69,100/month) plus applicable government allowances.

Age Limit & Relaxation:

Age calculated as on 10 April 2026 (last date of application).

Age Relaxation:

• APST candidates: 5 years over the upper age limit for all posts
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Deduction of period of actual service rendered in the armed forces, plus up to 3 years, as per applicable Government rules
• One-Time Relaxation: A special one-time upper age relaxation is available for certain candidates who appeared in earlier Constable examinations, applicable to Post Codes 5/26, 6/26, 8/26, and 9/26, as per Government of Arunachal Pradesh Notification dated 05.09.2025

Selection Process:

The selection is conducted in three stages:

Stage I – Written Examination (Post Codes 5/26 to 11/26)

• Objective Type / Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
• Total: 200 marks | 100 questions | 2 hours
• Minimum qualifying marks: 33% aggregate
• No negative marking
• Candidates are shortlisted for Stage II in a 1:3 ratio (3 candidates per vacancy), subject to clearing the written exam cut-off

Stage II – PST, PET & Trade Test (Qualifying)

• Physical Standard Test (PST): Verification of height, chest measurements, and weight
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running and other physical tasks (post-wise requirements; see below)
• Trade Test: Only for Constable Band (Post Code 5/26) and Constable Bugler (Post Code 6/26) — proficiency in playing band/bugle instruments
• Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the PET and Trade Test but must clear the PST
• PST, PET, and Trade Test are qualifying in nature — marks are not counted in the final merit

Stage III – Medical Fitness Test (Qualifying)

• All candidates who clear Stage II are subjected to a Medical Fitness Test
• Must meet the medical standards prescribed for uniformed services
• Qualifying in nature — no marks added to merit

Final Merit List

The final merit list is prepared based exclusively on marks obtained in the Written Examination and the candidate’s preference order of posts/departments. Stages II and III are only qualifying.

• English Language: Reading comprehension, fill in the blanks, error spotting, synonyms & antonyms, one-word substitution, vocabulary, sentence improvement

3. Click “Register” and enter your basic details — name, mobile number, and a valid Email ID
4. Log in using your registration credentials and fill in the application form with your personal details, educational qualifications, category, and communication address
5. Carefully select your post preference and department — once submitted, post preferences cannot be changed
6. Upload your scanned passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format and file size
7. Upload required supporting documents (educational certificate, category certificate, etc.)
8. Pay the application fee online: ₹200 (UR) or ₹150 (APST) via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking
