Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026: The Office of the Directorate General Assam Rifles, Shillong, has released the Assam Rifles Technical and Tradesman Recruitment Rally 2026 notification for recruitment against 354 vacancies in various technical and tradesman posts. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification, age limit, physical standards and other eligibility requirements for their respective trades.

The notification states that the cut-off date for determining age eligibility is 1 July 2026.

Educational Qualification

The qualification differs according to the trade.

Warrant Officer (Cipher): Candidates should have passed 10+2/Intermediate in Science with Physics, Mathematics and English, along with the prescribed technical qualification such as NSQF Level 4 or above in relevant IT/electronics/computer disciplines, or the specified bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Information and Communication Technology. The prescribed age limit is 18 to 25 years.

Age Limit

Selection Process

Computer-Based Test

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will consist of 100 marks.

Trade Skill Test

A Trade Skill Test will be conducted for Technical and Tradesman personnel based on the relevant trade-specific practical skill requirements. The notification states that no marks will be awarded for the Trade Skill Test; candidates will have to qualify it.

Candidates qualifying the trade test will become eligible for subsequent document verification and medical examination, subject to shortlisting based on CBT merit and the prescribed vacancy ratio.

Physical Standard

Physical standards vary according to category and region.

For candidates falling under the general all-India standard shown in the notification, the prescribed height includes 170 cm for males and 157 cm for females, with regional/category relaxations provided separately. For Scheduled Tribe candidates, the notification shows 162.5 cm for males and 150 cm for females. Male chest standards are also prescribed according to the applicable category.
