Additional Eligibility Conditions

  • For Technician and Graduate Apprentices applying via the NATS 2.0 portal, the qualifying examination must have been passed within the last 5 years from the last date (i.e., after 06 April 2021)
  • Candidates who have already completed or are currently undergoing an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any Government, PSU, or private industrial organization are NOT eligible
  • Candidates who absconded from previous training are not eligible
  • Qualifications obtained through distance/correspondence/part-time mode will not be accepted
  • Candidates awarded CGPA/GPA/SGPA must submit an authenticated percentage conversion certificate from their university/institute

Selection Process:

There is no written examination. Selection is purely merit-based:

  1. Priority to Local Candidates: Applicants residing within a 16 km radius of the Kakrapar Gujarat Site Plant will be given first preference. If not all seats are filled by local candidates, the remaining seats will be filled from other applicants based on merit
  2. Merit List: Candidates are ranked based on the percentage of marks obtained in their ITI / Diploma / Graduation qualifying examination (aggregate of all semesters/years)
  3. Tie-Breaking Rule 1: In case of equal percentage of marks, the candidate born earlier (senior by age) will be ranked higher
  4. Tie-Breaking Rule 2: If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage in Matriculation (Class X) will be ranked higher
  5. Medical Fitness: Final engagement is subject to the candidate being declared medically fit by the Competent Authority as per NPCIL requirements
  6. Police Verification: Since the Kakrapar Gujarat Site is a highly protected/sensitive area, all selected apprentices must submit a Police Verification Certificate issued by the District Police Authorities before joining

Physical Fitness Standards:

All selected candidates must meet the following minimum physical fitness standards as per NPCIL requirements:

Additionally, candidates must be:

  • Free from any contagious or infectious disease
  • Free from any disease that is likely to be aggravated by apprenticeship training or could endanger public health

Documents Required:

Candidates must submit self-attested photocopies of the following documents along with the duly signed application form. Original documents must be brought for verification when called:

  • Date of Birth proof — Birth Certificate (Govt. prescribed format) OR SSC / Class X Marksheet
  • Educational Qualification Marksheets — Class X & XII marksheets (+ Class VIII marksheet for Welder trade)
  • ITI / Diploma / Graduate Degree Certificate and all semester/year-wise marksheets
  • CGPA-to-Percentage conversion certificate from the University/Institute (if applicable)
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in Central Government prescribed format — valid as on 06 April 2026
  • EWS Income & Assets Certificate (for EWS category) — valid as on 06 April 2026
  • PwBD Disability Certificate (for PwBD candidates) — disability of 40% or more, in the prescribed format
  • Police Verification Certificate issued by the concerned District Police Authority
  • Character / Conduct Certificate from the concerned institution
  • Aadhaar Card (Bank account must be linked to Aadhaar)
  • 4 recent passport-size photographs
  • Residential Proof of permanent address — mandatory if residing within 16 km of Kakrapar, Gujarat Site (for priority consideration)
  • NAPS 2.0 / NATS 2.0 Apprentice Registration copy from apprenticeshipindia.gov.in or nats.education.gov.in
  • Any other qualification/experience certificates, if applicable

  • Fill the form clearly in block/capital letters

  • Fill in all personal details, educational qualifications, category, height, weight, Aadhaar number, and contact information
  • Affix a recent passport-size photograph in the designated space
  • Sign the declaration at the bottom of the form

Step 4 – Attach Self-Attested Documents

Attach self-attested photocopies of all required documents listed in Section 9 above. Incomplete applications will be rejected without any communication.
