SBI Security Officer Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 60 Manager and Deputy Manager Posts

State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for SBI Security Officer Recruitment 2026. The recruitment drive is being conducted for 60 vacancies of Manager (Security) and Deputy Manager (Security) under the Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO) category on a regular basis.

Vacancy Details

SBI has announced a total of 60 vacancies for Manager (Security) and Deputy Manager (Security) positions.

The category-wise vacancy distribution is given below:

Post and Grade Details:

• Manager (Security) – Middle Management Grade Scale III (MMGS-III).
• Deputy Manager (Security) – Middle Management Grade Scale II (MMGS-II).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the prescribed educational qualification, military or paramilitary service experience and medical fitness requirements as specified in the official notification.

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a Government-recognized university or institution.

2. Post-wise Experience Requirements

Manager (Security):

Candidates must fulfil either of the following requirements:

• An officer not below the rank of Major in the Indian Army or equivalent rank in the Indian Navy or Air Force, with a minimum of 10 years of commissioned service.
• An officer not below the rank of Deputy Commandant in paramilitary forces, with a minimum of 10 years of service as an officer.

Deputy Manager (Security):

Candidates must fulfil either of the following requirements:

• An officer not below the rank of Captain in the Indian Army or equivalent rank in the Indian Navy or Air Force, with a minimum of 5 years of commissioned service.
• An officer not below the rank of Assistant Commandant in paramilitary forces, with a minimum of 5 years of service as an officer.

Important: The required educational qualification and post-qualification experience must be possessed as of 31 October 2026.

3. Medical Fitness

Candidates must possess medical fitness in SHAPE-1 or an equivalent medical category as on the date of release of the advertisement.

Applicants must upload supporting medical documents from their discharge book or service records. Candidates currently serving must upload their latest Medical Board certificate indicating their medical category.

Age Limit

The age limit for SBI Security Officer Recruitment 2026 is as follows:

The age will be calculated as of 31 October 2026.

Age relaxation for reserved category candidates will be provided according to Government of India guidelines, wherever applicable.

Salary

Selection Process

SBI Security Officer Exam Pattern 2026

The online written examination will consist of objective-type questions.

Important Exam Instructions:

• The examination will contain 200 objective-type questions.
• The total examination duration will be 2 hours.
• Reasoning Ability, English Language and General Awareness are qualifying in nature.
• Marks obtained in these three sections will not be considered for preparing the final merit list.
• Professional Knowledge marks will be considered for merit calculation.
• There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Interview

Candidates qualifying in the online written examination will be shortlisted for the personal interview based on the number of vacancies and the Bank’s requirements.

The interview will carry 100 marks.

Final Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared using the normalized marks obtained in the written examination and interview.

Category-wise merit lists will be prepared in descending order based on the normalized scores.

Job Profile

Selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining and improving security arrangements across SBI branches and offices.

The major responsibilities include:

• Conducting periodic security audits at branches and offices.
• Reviewing existing security arrangements and recommending improvements.
• Organizing security drills, training sessions and awareness programmes.
• Implementing disaster management plans.
• Monitoring and reducing security-related incidents.
• Coordinating with Government agencies, civil authorities, military authorities and police departments.
• Supervising security systems and ensuring effective security management.

Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India according to the Bank’s requirements.
