Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Barauni Refinery, has released the official notification for 432 Apprentice vacancies under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973. Eligible candidates can apply online through the NAPS/NATS portal from 29 June 2026 to 28 July 2026. Candidates possessing qualifications such as 12th Pass, ITI, Diploma, B.Sc, BA, and B.Com can apply depending on the trade. Selection will be based purely on academic merit, and no written examination will be conducted.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant)

• B.Sc. with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry

Trade Apprentice – Fitter

• Matriculation with ITI (Fitter) of a minimum of 2 years’ duration

Trade Apprentice – Boiler

• B.Sc. with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry

Technician Apprentice – Chemical

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Refinery & Petrochemical Engineering

Technician Apprentice – Mechanical

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Technician Apprentice – Electrical

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Technician Apprentice – Instrumentation

• Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation

Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/B.Sc/B.Com)

Trade Apprentice – Accountant

• B.Com

Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher)

• Class XII Pass

Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holder)

• Class XII Pass with Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator

Candidates must have obtained the required qualification on or before 30 June 2026.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 24 Years
• Age will be calculated as of 30 June 2026.
• Age relaxation is applicable as per the Government of India rules.

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS: Nil
• SC/ST/PwBD: Nil

There is no application fee.

Training Duration

The apprenticeship duration varies according to the trade.

• 12 Months
• 15 Months
• 24 Months

Selection Process

There will be no written examination.

Selection will be based on:

• Merit is prepared on the aggregate marks obtained in the prescribed qualification
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination

In case of a tie, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be given preference.

For Trade Apprentice Posts (Codes: 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110 & 111):

• Register on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal.
• Search for IOCL Barauni Refinery and apply for the relevant apprenticeship opportunity.

For Technician Apprentice Posts (Codes: 104, 105, 106 & 107):

• Register on the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal.
• Log in and apply for the apprenticeship opportunity published by IOCL Barauni Refinery.

Step 2: Submit the Microsoft Additional Data Form

After successfully applying through the NAPS/NATS portal:

1. Return to the IOCL recruitment page.
2. Click on “APPRENTICESHIP ADDITIONAL DATA FORM: BARAUNI REFINERY 2026”.
3. Fill in all the required details carefully.
4. Use the same Email ID and Mobile Number that you used during NAPS/NATS registration.
5. Verify all information before submitting the form.
6. Submit only one response in the Microsoft Form.
7. Take a printout or save the confirmation for future reference.
