Educational Qualification
For Graduate/Degree Apprentices: Candidates must possess a full-time, regular four-year degree in the relevant engineering/discipline mentioned in the notification.
For Diploma/Technician Apprentices: Candidates must possess a three-year regular Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
The qualification must be recognized by AICTE/Government of India.
For ITI Apprentices: Candidates must possess an ITI/NCVT certificate in the relevant trade from an institution recognized by AICTE/Government of India.
Candidates who passed their degree/diploma in 2024 or later are eligible.
Who Is Not Eligible?
Candidates will not be eligible if:
- They have already completed an apprenticeship.
- They terminated an apprenticeship midway.
- They are currently pursuing an apprenticeship in another organization or AAI with the same qualification level.
- They have one year or more of apprenticeship training/job experience after obtaining the essential qualification.
- They apply for more than one discipline.
Applications from candidates applying for more than one discipline will be rejected.
Age Limit
The candidate’s age should be:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 26 years
- Cut-off date: 16 September 2026
Relaxation in the upper age limit for eligible categories such as SC, ST, OBC and PwBD will be applicable according to Government of India guidelines.
Stipend
Selected apprentices will receive the following monthly stipend:
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹15,000 per month
- Diploma/Technician Apprentice: ₹12,000 per month
- ITI Trade Apprentice: ₹9,600 per month
The Graduate and Diploma apprentice stipend includes the AAI and Government shares through DBT as specified in the notification.
Training Duration
The apprenticeship training will be conducted for 12 months (one year) from the commencement of the contract apprenticeship.
Training will be offered at various airports and establishments under the AAI Northern Region, including locations such as Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Jammu, Srinagar, Varanasi, Chandigarh-region locations, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and other Northern Region airports/offices listed in the notification.
Selection Process:
The provisional selection will primarily be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of equal percentage, date of birth and thereafter date of passing will be considered for seniority.
The selection process includes:
- Merit-based shortlisting.
- Document verification.
- Interview/verification as applicable.
- Medical fitness examination.
- Final selection and issuance of apprenticeship engagement letter.
- Signing of the apprenticeship contract through the NATS/NAPS portal.
